Also known as textured or texturized vegetable protein (TVP), textured soy protein (TSP), or soy meat. It's a new meat substitute, but it's been around for about 50 years. Soya chunks are a defatted soy flour product – a by-product of extracting soybean oil. This means it has minimal oil content but is very high in protein, fiber and minerals. Compared to other soy products, soya chunks are considered more processed.
