What is Tempeh?

Tempeh is a traditional soy product that originates in Indonesia. It has a firm texture and an earthy flavor. Tempeh is made by using a natural culturing and controlled fermentation process that binds soybeans. Unlike tofu, tempeh is made from the whole soybean. Therefore, it has different characteristics and texture. It offers a higher protein content and more dietary fiber and vitamins.
